The Peninsula offers two golf courses, located on opposite ends of its 28-mile length. Both are open to the public.
The Peninsula Golf Course in Long Beach offers both 9- and 18-hole courses with different tees on the same green. The course is 2148 total yards with a men’s par 33 and a women’s par of 34. Pull carts, motorized carts and clubs can be rented. Open daily, with a pro shop featuring a complete line of professional equipment and pull carts. A snack bar is on the premises; putting and pitching greens are also available. Call for tee times 360.642.2828. From the stoplights in Long Beach, head north on Pacific Hwy 103 to 97th Street. Peninsula Golf Course is on your right.
The Surfside Golf Course and Country Club is on the north end of the Peninsula, in Surfside. This 9-hole USGA rated course includes a driving range, putting, and pitching green, pro shop, snack bar, club and cart rental and PGA professional onsite. The course has been slope rated at 115 par for men and 119 par for women. Open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk; please call for tee times: 360.665.4148. From the stoplights in Long Beach head north on Pacific Hwy. 103 approximately 12 miles to Ocean Park. Head through the main intersection with a 4-way stop in Ocean Park to Joe Johns Road. Turn left and follow signs on “I” Street in Surfside. The course is adjacent to the Surfside Inn.
If serious golf is not quite your bag, try Putt Putt Golf in downtown Long Beach. Located at 205 S Pacific, behind Stormin’ Norman’s Kites, Boo-Boo’s offers fun golfing for all ages. If the course appears closed, inquire at the kite shop and enjoy a round of golf whatever the weather.
