Annual Sturgeon Derbies
Boasting the highest catch per unit of effort of any place on the West Coast, the ocean, bays, rivers and streams surrounding the Long Beach Peninsula have been long-time favorite spots for sports fishing. Click here for season and other fishing information.

dog-friendlyThe 13th Annual Southwest Washington Anglers' Sturgeon Derby is slated for June 12, 2010 at the Chinook Marina. Winners receive cash, Lamiglas Rods & Kuma Reels. Last year, 50 kids went home with trout, rods and reels. Dinner is included; space limited to 600. Weigh in is at the boat ramp in Chinook beginning at 11 am. Entrants receive an official derby t-shirt and a ticket to the spaghetti dinner. Call Bob Sibthorp at (360-896-2208) or Gordon Bardy (503-591-8562) for details.
