March 20-22, 2009 are the days for the 14th Annual Peninsula Quilt Guild Show. ‘Quilting at the Beach’ is this year’s theme. In addition to the 100+ quilts which will be on display, there will be a special feature show of quilts by Janet King, quilt designer and teacher who uses non-traditional colors to give a modern twist to traditional patterns.
During the show, there will be ongoing demonstrations of various aspects of quilt making. Drawing for this year’s prize quilt, ‘Cranberry Relish,’ will be held on March 22; you do not need to be present to win. Proceeds from the drawing are given to area charities.
‘Quilting at the Beach’ will be held at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum (formerly the Ilwaco Heritage Museum), 115 SE Lake St., Ilwaco, WA, from 10-4 daily. Admission is free. Refreshments will be available.
