The Port of Ilwaco welcomes back Grays Harbor Historical Seaport tall ships. These graceful ladies sail into port April 23, 2009, offering public dockside tours and 3 hour adventure sails. The ships depart on Sunday evening, April 26th.
King's Royal Navy Re-enactors, with cannon & musket, will be at the Port of Ilwaco's Saturday Market, 10-4, Saturday, April 25, in conjunction with the arrival of the Tall Ships.
The Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum will hold a Sailor's Feast Friday, April 24 at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at many of the Ilwaco port merchants or at the Museum. For more information, call 360-642-7667. Download a flyer [pdf].
At the feast, there will be a raffle for passages for two passengers each on three different legs of the Lady Washington's mid-June sailing. The three legs are:
- From Rainier, OR to Astoria, OR
- From Astoria, OR to Ilwaco, WA
- A Battle Sail in Astoria, OR
