The Washington State International Kite Festival is in full swing with sunny skies and nice winds predicted for the week. The free event runs through Sunday, August 21st and includes workshops, displays, competitions, kite ballets and a lighted night fly. All visitors to the festival are invited to build kites and take flying lessons.
Among featured guests will be Bas Vreeswijk, a kite designer from the Netherlands, and Karl Longbottom, a flyer from the United Kingdom. Festival goers will also want to visit the World Kite Museum and Hall of Fame.

Wow, look at all those kites. Will be a fun event.
After attending the past 22 years it is still one of the hightlights of the year…I am always impressed with the Color in the Sky and the chance to fly a kite alongside other enthusiasts.
