Hot Rods line up on Howerton Way at the Port of Ilwaco to compete in a coasting competition. Cars have approximately 15 feet in which to accelerate and then coast for 200 yards. The Beach Barons present Rod Run to the End of the World 2013! A weekend full of classic cars, great people, and lots of fun! September 7-8, 2013

Spend the weekend in the sun running a half marathon on the Discovery Trail, through the Ocean dunes. Enjoy the scenic half marathon on the flat and paved Discovery Trail, through historic Beard’s Hollow and finishing under the famous World’s Longest Beach arch!   Participate in one of eight age divisions, with many prizes available at the awards ceremony.  Certified course and chip timed.  September 14, 2013

The American Cancer Society, Relay for Life will be held in Ilwaco. September 21-22 2013

The Triathlon course launches from Black Lake Park in Ilwaco, WA and includes a 500 meter swim (1540'), 12.2 mile ride (19.6km), and a 3.1 mile (5k) run!  The park is the transition area for all three legs. The Duathlon follows the same course excluding the swim, instead it begins with a 1.6 mile run, and will begin when the Triathlon begins. September 21, 2013
