If you need help building up a big appetite, put swimming, beachcombing and walking at the top of your list when heading to Long Beach, Washington. Among activities available, you can rent a bike, learn to surf, or fish from shore or from a charter boat. If you prefer to golf, head for the 9-hole Peninsula Golf Course. When your hunger gets the best of you, check out one of the area restaurants for a great meal.

Anchor Restaurant & Lounge
Located next to the Chautauqua Lodge lobby, this restaurant offers breakfast, lunch or dinner. Start breakfast at the Anchor’s Espresso Bar to get your caffeine fix, then put in an order for seafood omelets or more traditional breakfast foods. At lunch, enjoy sandwiches, hamburgers, or fish baskets, with a cup of clam chowder or other soup. The dinner menu features coastal seafood, such as halibut, salmon, clams or oysters, as well as steaks and chicken. Sit in the main dining room or ask to be seated in the lounge next to the roaring fireplace.

Castaway’s Seafood Grille
Enjoy tasty clam chowder and other seafood specialties at this downtown Long Beach restaurant, featuring vibrant beach colors and décor. Enjoy a full menu for lunch or dinner, featuring salads, sandwiches, seafood and chips, or island specialties, such as prawns, halibut or scallops.

Bluto’s Pizza
If you like Philly-style pizza, stop by this restaurant located along the main strip in Long Beach. Featuring hand-tossed pizzas and calzones, as well as Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, hoagies and grinders, order food to go and take it to the beach for a picnic. Or take a break from your beach activities, and eat in the causal dining room. Bluto’s also offers delivery. Be sure to save room for the homemade Almond Cream Cannoli or a big chunk of cheesecake.

    Our favorite dining destination is The Depot Restaurant when we come to Long Beach area. It’s a really wonderful historic train depot converted into a restaurant. The food is TO DIE FOR. Highly recommend.
