It’s here! One of the biggest weekends of the year here on the Long Beach Peninsula, the Rod Run to the End of the World. The cars have been rolling in for a few days now and are gorgeous.
The fun begins on Friday afternoon with the Slow Drag at the Port of Ilwaco. A local favorite, the Slow Drag promises to be entertaining!
Saturday, watch the Show & Shine at BeachBarons‘s Field in Ocean Park, and don’t miss the cruise, which will loop from the field, through Nahcotta, Oysterville, Surfside and Ocean Park. Saturday night, the Fabulous Fairlanes will be on Siren Stage in downtown Long Beach while entertainment continues at the Beach Baron’s Field and a 50s Sock Hop with live DJ will be rockin’ the Peninsula Senior Activities Center.
The City of Long Beach Trolley will run a free shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday. The Trolley leaves 3rd St South & Oregon Ave in Long Beach at 9:30 am, arriving at the Beach Baron’s Field at approximately 10:00 am, continuing the round trip every 30-45 minutes throughout the day. The last trip from the Beach Baron’s Field to Long Beach will be at 4:00 pm. If people who have enjoyed the show at the Field need to return to Long Beach before 4:00, they should make certain to catch an earlier trolley or make alternate arrangements for transportation.

This is just too cool. I’m moving from Long beach, CA to Long beach, WA. This weekend in Long beach, CA, 9/11 is the annual Belmont Shore Car Show (2 miles long). Now it looks like I won’t be missing a thing as Long Beach, WA welcomes me with a car show also. I can’t move up there fast enough.
I am wanting to know where I can purchase a T-Shirt and what the largest size is available. Am needed x3 or 4x.
